Temptation

Everyone faces temptations in life. There are many temptations that surround us and can draw us in if we are not careful. Find out more about temptation in 1 Corinthians 10: 6-13. The Lord speaks about strength in times of temptation. He gives examples to not lust after evil things as some have done. Also, do not become idolaters as those who "sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play". We are not to commit sexual immorality as did some and thousands fell. We are not to tempt Christ, for those who have, were destroyed by serpents. The Word speaks of complaining, and thinking more of yourself then you should. You may just fall. God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able. With temptation He will make a way of escape, so that you may bear it. We know that in todays world there are many examples of each one of these temptations and that many of us have failed in different areas. I am so glad that Christ has made a way and we can resist temptation.
