With unemployment on the rise, more and more people are going back to school for training towards information technology jobs and other interests. There is a rise in college attendance. Not only for BA degrees, but also master programs. It will be nice to see unemployment begin to drop.

iPod Touch

My husband got an iPod Touch for Christmas and he loves it. He has quite a few songs on it already and checks his mail and facebook on it each day. It is very handy to take anywhere due to it's small size. I wouldn't mind having one someday but for now can use his if I want to. Technology has really changed in the past few years, that is for sure.

Ankle Brace

My son is very talented when it comes to technology. Since he was very young he has had a computer in front of him. Due to the hours and hours that he puts in on the computer he now finds himself wearing a wrist brace some. He has had some wrist pain and is now to the point that he is needing to doctor for it. My cousin is having issues with her diabetes and has been hospitalized recently. She now has an ankle brace she has to wear. I'm thankful for the medical appliances that are available on the market today.

Weather

You have heard the song that includes 'the weather outside is frightful' I am sure. Well, today that is what I would call it. The wind has come up and the light snow is really blowing. I headed out of town but turned around and am now safe in my warm house. I am glad to be back although I was looking forward to having a night out.

If you are like me you know when it is necessary to cut back and lose weight. My husband is constantly telling me he needs to get rid of belly fat. I suggest to him that he knows what to do about it. Rather than just talk about it he needs to do something about it, don't you think? He loves to go work out at the YMCA and he also loves to eat the good things we make at home from cookies to casseroles.

There are many uses for a steel drum. When I was a child growing up on the farm we always had steel drums laying around. Some of us kids would often just play with them but dad usually had a plan for them. I know now that they had a use but as a child they were a toy.

It is great that there are so many types of music because what I like and what others like are very often different. Growing up our parents listened to some music that I really have never been fond of but they liked it. My guess is that when my kids get to be my age they may say the same about my music.

Wow, has technology soared over the past ten or fifteen years! We bought our first computer about fifteen years ago. It was a huge dinosaur. With not much hard drive, we soon filled it and moved on to something bigger. Now they are much smaller in size. The Galaxy Tablet PC is very handy and small. It amazes me.

Over the past couple of years there are many who have found themselves jobless. It is a scary thing to face. They are also finding it a difficult process to find jobs. My brother is in that boat right now. He has found that there are many new technical ways in which to apply for jobs. The times have changed.

iPod

My husband got a new iPod for Christmas. He had purchased one less than a year ago but the new one has two cameras and other neat features. Our kids were the ones that got him thinking of the new one. He is happy with it so I guess that is what counts. They are a pretty cool little device. Maybe I will get one too some day.

Mom and Dad

It's always great to have my parents here. They try to come to as many family functions as they can. We had a wonderful time over Christmas. Most of the family was able to make it here!

Viking's Fans in the House!!

We have some Vikings fans in the house. Our son-in-law and grandson received jerseys for Christmas. It looked so cute when they dressed up together. The men in the family like to take in a game or two a season. They have a lot of fun together! :)

Israel

Little Israel is the youngest of our grandchildren. He just turned one in December. What a little sweetheart he is. Always has a smile for you. :)

Uncle Jake sure had fun with some of his nieces and nephews. He was entertaining them with some of their shows on his Ipad. They loved it!
