Clocks

Several years ago Bill's dad had made a clock. It is one that hangs on the wall and has a pendulum. For a long time we have had trouble with the clock stopping shortly after winding it. Bill took it apart and found that there was some grease like substance keeping a part from moving. It had been a scary thing to try winding the clock because as you turned the key it would sometimes spin right out of your hand. It is working great and I love hearing it chime on the hour. I am glad it is fixed.

TV

I am sure we all have our favorite shows on television. There are a few that I enjoy watching like, The Rifleman, American Idol, House and CSI. We generally like to watch the Las Vegas CSI more than the NY or Miami. I know other people that prefer the NY and Miami versions of CSI. We have begun watching those more now. Healthier Living

We have been trying to avoid late night snacks. I think that we could lose a little weight by just cutting down on the food intake in the evening. We used to munch on popcorn and M&Ms along with a soda but I know that isn't a great snack late at night. And wouldn't you know it, as I am writing this, Bill is bringing me a sucker. Life

I don't know about you but I enjoy some very simple things in life. For example, I don't need fancy cars or homes. Sunday School

We have been attending Sunday School and have enjoyed it. We are going through Revelation. The class has been quite full each week. Our church was at 9am with Sunday School following but we have gone back to two services so Sunday School is between the two. I think all who are in the class are learning a lot.

My husband and I love watching HGTV. There are so many neat and unique ideas to gain by tuning in. You don't have to watch for long to see that wood flooring is very popular at this time. Yard Work

It is the time of year to start working on the yard. Raking, mowing, trimming and fertilizing has begun. Actually it hasn't really started at our house. Bill was going to rake the yard yesterday, but we were out of town for much of the day. He is going to have a guy go over it with a big commercial type mower which will clean up the yard. I teased him about not wanting to do the work himself, but I know he really enjoys yard work. He always has it looking so nice.

Springtime!!

Spring is finally here!! We soooo deserve it! It has been a very cold and long winter for us. What a beautiful weekend we recently enjoyed. The sun was out and the temps were gorgeous. Our grand daughter decided to check out some of the plants and rocks. It was fun to be outdoors!

We are ones that enjoy travel. Over the years we have taken numerous vacations. Our family has made many awesome memories. Las Vegas is one location that we would like to return to at some point. Easter

We had a wonderful Easter! My parents and some of our children, were able to make it this year. Our little grand daughter is so much fun to watch. She came in with her pretty dress and fancy shoes on. You could tell how special she felt wearing those shoes. she would stomp around the kitchen listening to her footsteps. Those shinny shoes are fun!

My daughter-in-law comes up with some great shots of our grandson! Emry wanted to be with daddy as he was getting ready for work. So she got out the cool whip and had him shave right along with daddy. The pictures turned out so cute.

Condo

Our youngest son Jake is in the process of trying to purchase his first condo. With the economy in the state it is in, the housing market/banking has made it somewhat difficult to buy.
