The Week

The weeks are just flying by. With working long days everyday, it feels like that's all I'm doing right now. I sure am looking forward to going back to less days again. I will really appreciate it I know. I can't believe it's almost Feb. already.

Weekend

We had a great weekend. We decided that we needed some time with one of our grand babies so we went up to see Kaelyn. She is the closest. Emry is several states away, which makes it much more difficult for us to visit. Anyway, we went and stayed and got to hold and play with Kaelyn. She is changing so fast. She is trying to grab her toys and anything else that is close to her. She has found her voice and loves making noises. It is so cute. That also means that Emry has changed quite a bit since we saw him at Christmas time, since he's only 2 weeks younger then Kaelyn. Isn't life great!

Recycle Day

Tuesdays are recycling day in our neighborhood. We are able to set our container out on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. There are times when the plastic container is just about overflowing. This week it is only about half full. I think it is important to recycle as much as possible. Our town is one that is very committed to the recycling idea.

Clock

Several years ago Bill's dad had made a clock. It is one that hangs on the wall and has a pendulum. For a long time we have had trouble with the clock stopping shortly after winding it. Bill took it apart and found that there was some grease like substance keeping a part from moving. It had been a scary thing to try winding the clock because as you turned the key it would sometimes spin right out of your hand. It is working great and I love hearing it chime on the hour. I am glad it is fixed.

Travel

Do you like to travel? I just love it. I actually prefer to travel by land rather than by air, but sometimes it is necessary to fly. I enjoy seeing all the sights while heading to our destination. There are so many fantastic things to see as we travel. God has created a beautiful world out there. Whether it is in your home state or going many states away I enjoy traveling.

Work

Work has been just crazy. We have a gal that has been gone for about 3 weeks now, on maternity leave and are short handed. I have started to work five days a week and am growing tired. I'm sure there are many of you out there that are use to this kind of a schedule, but I am not. It's not just taking on the extra day that is wearing me out, it's also the fact that we are so busy right now. This too will pass, as they say.

Wonderful Weekend!

We had the chance to get all of our family together once again before Josh, Di and Emry had to leave for home. Everyone was home and we had a great time playing games, watching movies, talking and laughing. We sure feel blessed to have such a great family. We spent some time with Bill's family for a late Christmas supper on Friday. They had not yet met the newest members of the family, Emry and Kaelyn. We had a very nice time.

New Car

Well, New Years Eve didn't pan out to be the way we thought it would go. Scott, Bill and I went up to the cities and found just the perfect Ford Escape for us. After much driving, nasty weather and purchasing a great vehicle, we returned home to celebrate and bring in the new year with Jake, Jenna and Kaelyn. We had a great time anyway and we love our car.
