New Homes

According to the news the building of new homes has slowed down. I think the sale of new homes has also slowed. In our town many homes are for sale but some, in a certain price range, have been on the market for a long time. Hopefully the economy will change for the better and homes will sell again.

Supper

Supper is in the oven and I can tell my husband is ready to eat. He has been telling me how good the meal is smelling. All the comments from him tell me that he is waiting for me to finish making supper. It is quite funny because he is just hinting as if I don't know what he is thinking or doing. I guess I can take a break and get the meal on the table.

Roll Top Desk

My husband remembers growing up in a home where was an old roll top desk. He said it was around as far back as he remembers. It was a lighter color and in very good condition. The wonderful thing is, we now have one like the desk he remembers. It is a wonderful piece of furniture and quite useful. It is very well made too. I am glad we got it.

Jokes

We all know people who are great at telling jokes. Those talented people who actually remember the punch lines. Then there are those who just can't get the joke right. It wouldn't matter if they had just heard the joke and they were trying to repeat it to someone else. They are the ones that start to laugh while telling the joke but never quite finish. When I first started working on putting together my blog, there were so many domains out there to choose from I got kind of overwhelmed. This thing was supposed to just be a hobby and I certainly wasn’t very technically inclined, so I asked Jenna to come over and help me from there. She walked me through hosting packages and the templates for design…I felt much better after our talk. I’ve been blogging now, as you guys know, for about two months and I absolutely love it! I find that it’s a great outlet for me at the end of a long day and I’m definitely looking forward to working on my writing through the site. I think my favorite part has to be when I ! see that I have a new reader/follower, and especially since I got one last week that was a total stranger! That was the highlight of this whole experience! I’m going to keep blogging as long as the technology doesn’t advance faster than I can keep up with it!

iPad Cover

The iPad cover that we have is designed for the first version and won't work with the iPad 2 because it has two cameras and needs a hole to accommodate the outer camera. That means if we buy the new one we will have to find a different cover. I have checked and there are some that I like but they are very expensive. Hopefully we can find one that works for us at a fair price.

Two step stool

For Christmas we got our youngest son some items for his home. One thing he was lacking was a two step stool. I am very short and when helping him at his place I often found that I was in need of standing taller. Either to clean, paint or help with installing new light fixtures. They are a handy item to have around. I think I need one at home also.

Colon cleanser

We are finding that there are many things we can do to better take care of our bodies. Diet and exercise is right there on the top. Many take vitamins also. To have a colon cleanser of some sort is becoming more popular as well. I guess we should take care of our bodies. They are the only ones we're given. :)

Blackhead removal

I never realized how many different skin conditions a person could actually have. A few years ago I found a spot that looked suspicious. I went to the doctor and he sent me to a dermatologist. There I found that I had a basil cell and had it removed. Recently while visiting my dermatologist I was told that I had a spot. It was a blackhead and that he could do a blackhead removal. I decided to wait and see if I wanted it removed or not.

Panasonic home theater system

I'm not sure why but we own many TV sets. We have them in about every room in the house. Ease I guess. If we want to see something it is available where ever we happen to be at the moment. A panasonic home theater system is a great plus also. When watching movies it's great to have the awesome theater sound. You feel like you are at the show in the comfort of your own home.

Blackberry Phone

My husband has a Blackberry for his work. He is getting used to it but at first wasn't a big fan of it. It is the Bold model and I have the Curve. I like mine better because it is lighter weight. Some say they are an outdated phone but for now that is what we have. So far they have worked fine.

As we grow older we often find ourselves gaining those unwanted pounds. It seems more difficult to shed them also. Some chose diet and an increase in exercise. Snack

Every once in awhile an evening snack sounds good. Recently we had an evening like that. We made popcorn with lots of butter and topped it with M&Ms. It was sure good. We splurged and had some soda too. Does it help that it was a diet soda? I didn't really think so either. I guess once in awhile it isn't all bad to have a snack.

Cigar

When I was growing up my dad was always a smoker. He totally enjoyed it and I think he still does. He would smoke cigarettes,cigars or even a pipe. I didn't mind the smell of a cigar or pipe. They can be quite unique. He had many fancy ashtrays throughout the house.
