The Capital Market Supervisory Board has given their approval of the move. They are the board that make the rules for the Thai capital market. They are now allowing two types of gold on the market. Feeder fund investments and direct investing of gold bullion are the two. An investment will require the Bank of Thailand to give permission. There are also purity standards that must be met.
