New Diet Pills

Tis the Season! There is so much wonderful food this time of year. I was just beginning my baking today. With having excess pounds already, it will just make it more difficult to hold my weight down. There are new diet pills, exercise programs and other methods for watching one's weight. It's just not an easy process and especially during the holidays.

Banana Muffins

My plan is to have Bill make banana muffins while I get some other work done. He was going to start making them but the butter was too hard. For my recipe it is best if the butter is soft. So, that means Bill may be able to help out with some of the other chores around here. He is always such a good helper and rarely complains. I can put up with rarely........ ;)

Pencils

Does anyone use pencils anymore? We have pens at work but I haven't seen a pencil in a long time. I know they are still sold in stores but they must not be in demand like they used to be. When I was in school that is about all we used. Even pens aren't used as before since everyone has at least one computer. Times have really changed.

Career Polictians

I, for one, am not in favor of people who are career politicians. I think there should be term limits in all areas of government. It seems that only the very wealthy are able to hold some higher positions in politics. I don't believe that was the intent of those who started the whole system.

Baby Clothes

A few years ago my oldest children surprised us by telling us they were both expecting babies just days apart. It has been so much fun having grandchildren growing up together. I find myself shopping for baby clothes, toys and other child products. There is so much to choose from these days. Such cute clothes to pick from.

Pizza

The other night we went out for supper. I had a taco salad and Bill ordered a small pizza. We just don't eat as much as we used to which is probably a good thing. It tasted great but we didn't eat it all. I guess that way we had left overs. That isn't a bad thing.

Over the years we have raised three children. We found that with each one we had new and different challenges. During the adolescent years the kids dealt with different levels of acne. With the elections over with for awhile maybe we can change our focus some. Aren't you all tired of hearing all of the character assassination? It isn't from just one side either. It is actually embarrassing to hear all the negative things about the candidates. I do have a complaint and that is that you don't hear from the political people until it is time for re-election.

Here Comes The Wind

The wind is back ladies and gentlemen. We have had such nice weather lately, without the wind. When it gets this windy it sounds like a snowstorm without the snow. Speaking of snow, I could do without it. I would prefer that we just get warm rains all winter long. I know, I am dreaming right? Nothing wrong with that.

Recently I checked on ebay to see how much iPads were selling for. I was shocked at how much people were paying for used iPads. For not much more they could have purchased a brand new one. Granted there were some extra accessories included with some of them but still quite a lot to spend for used. They must have had their reasons.

Fan

We are still working away at replacing lights and fans in our home. This was the most recent installment. We put a fan like this in our spare bedroom and our office. I like how it turned out.

Kitchen Faucet

My oldest son and his family recently purchase an acreage. They are busy remodeling and replacing some things. I am loving the choices they have made for their hardware and kitchen faucet. They have a darker antique type appearance and the look as a whole is coming together. It is going to add a lot to the feel of their home.

Fall

What do you think about experiencing the four seasons of the year? Do you enjoy the cold of winter? Or maybe the beauty of the fall leaves? Or how about the smells of spring and the birds returning and chirping? If given mild temperatures, then Fall would be my top choice. We have had a wonderful autumn this year!
