Hostas

A couple years ago I planted some Hostas in our yard. I found that those that I got from a friend seemed to be more hearty, stronger looking and bigger. I am not sure why but whatever the reason I am pleased that they are such healthy plants. They came from a farm and maybe were started in very good soil or got stronger because of the wind and rain they endured. They look great at my house.

Cloudy Sky

There was supposedly only a slight chance of rain last night, but I think the weatherman will need to admit that the forecast wasn't very accurate. It was looking quite dark outside and it began to rain to our south. Bill got the yard mowed yesterday so if it was going to rain we wouldn't have to worry about that.

New TV

We bought a new television this weekend. It is a 19" TV that is very lightweight. It is easy to use too. I am not sure if I should have it on the dresser like I did before with the old set or not but for now that is where it will be. We have gotten some great deals on TVs in the past and this time is no exception. It lacks some of the bells and whistles that others may have but we are pleased with it so far.

Louisiana Beauty School

Good Supper

Tonight I made fish, fried potatoes, salad and pie. It was a meal that we hadn't had for quite some time. Everything turned out great. Bill had just gotten home from work when I finished cooking. Our dog Zoe was begging for some too but we didn't give in to her. We have been just giving her a diet type dog food and she has lost some much needed weight.

Night Cream

As we all age we find ourselves looking for ways to stop the affects of aging. In my thirties I began noticing that my skin was changing. I began using day and night cream and found it to help some. As we all know all to well, we are going to continue aging and changing and that's not all bad. I'm happy to be getting older.

Fat Burners

Boy, we just finished supper and am I full. My husband and I get done with eating and we seem to always say, we ate to much again. Why is that? It seems to get increasingly worse with age. We are trying an exercise program, but must get our eating under control. I know that there are fat burners, diet pills and other types of diet methods available. I guess a person has to do what is best for them personally.

You Gotta Love It!!

Look at those precious faces. What is not to love about that!! These are two of our grandsons, Emry and Israel. What little sweethearts they are! We see them now more then we use too. They lived states away before. But, we still wish we saw them even more. We can't get enough.....

Ipod Touch

Bill has been looking at an Ipod Touch lately. I am not sure what it all does but it looks pretty cool. He has watched ebay and other sites trying to find the one he wants. He said they make several different capacity Ipods but he would be happy with the smallest one. Don't tell him but I ordered one for him the other day. He will be very pleased.

New Light

I recently bought a new light for our stairway that goes to the basement. For several years we had the basic porcelain single bulb fixture but now we have a two light fixture that looks great. We had the wiring just running up the outside of the wall too but we now have it hidden inside the wall where it belongs. It looks very nice.

Faucets

My husband and I have been busy redoing our home. Over the past 18 months or so we had transformed our main floor living space. We replaced our faucets and hardware, painted, flooring and more. We are now busy working on the downstairs. Tomorrow will be a paint day. Hopefully when we are finished with that room, the painting should be complete. Then for the details. The final outcome will make it all worth while.

Flowers!

Everyone loves flowers! I know I do! For Mother's Day my youngest son surprised me with this beautiful bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. There are so many different kinds of flowers in it. It is still looking as beautiful as ever, even after many days have passed. Thanks Jake!

Little Israel!

Little Israel is our youngest grandson. He is such a sweetheart! When he is awake he often has a smile on his face. He's so content and happy. What a wonderful blessing he is!

Eczema

I love watching my grandchildren. Recently my daughter had a dental appointment so I got to take care of the children. My grand daughter was scratching and itching her back and arm continually. When her mom got home we took a look and thought that maybe she had some kind of eczema. We found there to be some great research done on line. She has since treated it and she is doing much better.

As we all begin to age, some of us sooner then others, find ourselves dealing with those unwanted pounds. We begin searching for weightloss products that might assist us in the battle of the bulge. Does any of this sound remotely familiar to any of you? For the good portion of my life I have not had to give a second thought to eating or weight loss. I am thankful for that. Now in my later years I have found things to have changed. Must be that aging process?

Acne Treatment

My youngest son called the other night. We had such a nice visit. We must have talked for close to three hours. It had been some time since we had the chance to sit and talk. It brought back a lot of memories of the years my children were growing up. They were each such individuals. Each one had their own issues to deal with. We had a few issues with an acne treatment and skin care, but are thankful that they each came out of that season of life, clearly. :)
