I remember the days of driving around town listening to the radio. The stations would come and go with static. We would get out our portable radios for the beach or sitting in the yard. Pool Time!

It finally warmed up enough to have the grand kids out to play in the pool in the backyard on Sunday. The temps have been unseasonable cool. Emry was unsure about the cool water, but stayed in for a while anyway. Kaelyn loved it! She was in with Grammy for quite sometime. She loved dipping her face in the water and sliding down from the sides. It was great fun!

Simple Toys

More Parade

What fun! This past weekend while the kids were all home, we enjoyed a parade with our grandchildren. It was a first for Emry, but Kaelyn had joined us last year for the same parade. They both were so excited to see the floats, animals, candy and crowd. The kids loved putting all that they caught and picked up, into bags.We had the best time and the weather cooperated also.

Parade

This past weekend our family all came to help celebrate Bill's birthday. Our local town was having a celebration also. There was a parade on Sat. morning so we all went up to watch it. Emry our grandson had never seen a parade. Both grand kids loved it. It was a fun time!

Clear Skies

It is nice to see the clear skies tonight. We had a little rain today, but right now it is beautiful outside. I would like to get out and walk, but right now I have too much to get done. I am trying to get as much done as I can tonight so I can go for a walk with Bill and Zoe tomorrow. Hopefully that will become a reality.

Zoe Is Ready

Zoe is ready for her nightly walk around the block. It is funny how she knows when it is time to go. Right now she is whimpering at the door looking at Bill, expecting to head out for her romp through the neighborhood. We have a bell on the door knob that she rings when she wants out and she is definitely ringing it right now.

Running

Bill enjoys going for a run almost every day. Those that know me understand that running isn't my thing. I am glad Bill likes it though. I have never liked to run and don't expect to ever get enthused about it. Good for all of you that like to run but as for me, I will maintain a slower pace on my elliptical.

Neighbors

I know that you can't pick your neighbors, but there are times when I wish it were possible. It is difficult to see property next door look so bad when we try to keep ours looking nice. The house next door is a rental and there have been several renters in it the past few years. The grass is a foot high right now and looks awful. The city has told the owners that the place needs some upkeep or tickets will be issued. So far there have been only minor improvements.

A Little Rain

The weather forecast for our area was lots of rain. Instead we received a brief shower last night and again today. Bill mowed the yard last night, thinking that he wouldn't be able to mow today. I guess the weather man was wrong again. Oh well, the grass needed mowing and the little bit of rain was fine with me.

Sunshine

We finally had a little sunshine today. It has been cloudy and cool the past few days. It was very welcome weather. We spent some time outside today which we enjoyed very much. I hope this weather continues throughout the week. I think we are supposed to get some rain this week but as long as we get some sunshine I don't mind.

Tired Dog

We had a busy weekend and our dog Zoe is very tired. She is sleeping by my side as I write this. Kaelyn and Emry were here and I think they wore Zoe out. We spent quite a bit of time outside today and she seemed to have fun. The neighbor has a little dog that has been cooped up since yesterday. It is a friendly little dog that wanted our attention as it barked and scratched at the window. We felt sorry for the little thing.
