Kaelyn

I've been looking forward to this day! I am watching our grand daughter for the entire day. Just her and me! Kaelyn is about 17 months old. She is such a sweetheart. She's very easy to take care of. She has a schedule that she sticks to pretty closely. She arrived around 8 AM and we had breakfast together. Now we are playing and watching Sesame Street. Soon she will be ready for her lunch and then down for a nap. She's pretty predictable. We're going to have a great day together! :)

Times have sure changed. What did we use to do without our computers? What a wonderful way to communicate and keep in touch with loved ones and friends. There are also many who are now doing business online and using laptops everywhere they go. I know that our family are some of them. None of us seem to leave home without our laptop. If they crash we are out looking for great laptop deals. They are so handy.

Coupon Savers!

My daughter-in-law and son recently shared with us what their latest money saving idea has done for them. They pick up several Sunday papers and clip out the coupons. They then search the papers and internet for some great sales going on that week in different stores. Between the coupons and the sale prices of the products, this is what they had achieved in one week. There was over $140 worth of products and they paid only $20.41! WOW! Now that's a great saving! She had heard the concept on Oprah and thought they would try it out. I think it's going to pay off, don't you?

IT Job Search

The economy seems to continue to spiral downward. Each week I hear of more and more individuals losing their jobs. Careers seem to stop in a moment’s time. It is so sad to watch. We have a friend that is checking into an IT job search. He recently lost his position with a big company that is going through some struggling times. It's good to know that there are online sites that can assist this individual in finding what he is in need of and fulfilling his dreams.

Weekend Getaways

Aren't weekend getaways wonderful? I think my husband and I are going to take a little extra time off and get away from the stresses of life for a few days. It is important to take that time to stop and smell the roses, so to speak. We enjoy finding some of our favorite eating spots as well as taking in a show and doing some shopping. It should be a great time of rest and fun!

Bluetooth

Until last year I really hadn't used a bluetooth device. Now I wouldn't want to be without one. Bill's new car has one built in which is very nice. Using one hand to drive and one to hold a phone is a safety factor. More and more of these devices have been made available. They have gotten smaller and easier to use. They are very handy.
